Job summary

Security First Bank in Rapid City seeks a detail-oriented Deposit Operations Specialist to support retail banking across the organization. You’ll assist with deposit accounts, debit cards, IRA/HSA, time deposits, and maintain accurate records.

You will help with new account reviews, customer record maintenance, changes, and regulatory documentation, while supporting cash balancing, teller operations, and issue resolution. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Two or more years of banking, deposit operations, or retail banking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of deposit products, banking operations, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for retail banking products and services, including deposit accounts, debit cards, IRA/HSA accounts, and time deposits.
• Support new account reviews, customer record maintenance, account changes, and compliance-related documentation.
• Assist with cash balancing, teller support, outage research, and operational issue resolution.
• Process non-post items, savings bonds, and other deposit operations functions while maintaining accurate records.
• Support process improvements, staff training, compliance initiatives, and Video Teller operations as needed.
