Job summary

Helm Bank USA in Miami, FL seeks a Deposit Operations Specialist/ EIP and Reconciliations to support the Deposit Operations team in a fast-paced environment. You will handle daily EIP procedures, reconciliations, and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required, and you will collaborate with auditors, regulators, and cross-functional partners to maintain compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of wire transfer, customer service and general banking experience.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish with fluency in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Related to Exceptions Processing and Reconcilements.
  • Process EIP procedures: daily charge backs, NSF and outgoing returns, credit back, non-posted items, ACH returns.
  • Process checks adjustments, notices of change and large item notifications.
  • Process daily and monthly GL and Helm Banks accounts reconciliations.
  • Process daily ESC reconciliation for DDA, SAV, Cash Teller, CD and loans; report findings to BSA on first day of each month.
  • Input daily general ledger and customer account entries.
  • Back up for exonerations requests and account changes with quality control.
  • Assist with special projects and investigations from auditors and federal examiners.
  • Screen incoming/outgoing wire transfers with OFAC/EDD.

This position is primarily responsible for performing the operational support duties of the Deposit Operations Department.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:

Core Duties

Operational

  • • Related to Exceptions Processing and Reconcilements:
  • • Responsible for EIP Procedures: Daily process of Charge Backs, NSF & Outgoing Returns, Credit Back, Non Posted, ACH Returns.
  • • Process checks adjustments, Notice of Change and Large Item Notifications.
  • • Process daily and monthly GL and Helm Banks accounts reconciliation.
  • • Process daily ESC Reconciliation for DDA, SAV, Cash Teller, CD & loans. Report no finding to BSA the first day of each month.
  • • Inputs daily general ledger and customers account entries.
  • • Act as a backup for process and filing of Exonerations request.
  • • Performs changes made to each account on system ensuring requests were updated correctly and quality control on changes processed by another team member.
  • • Assist the department in special projects assigned.
  • • Assists with any requests and investigations from auditors and federal examiners.
  • • Act as back up of another OP Specialist
  • • Screens incoming and outgoing wire transfers with the OFAC/EDD
What You’ll Need
Requirements and Qualifications
  • • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years of wire transfer, customer service and general banking experience.
  • • Minimum of one year of operations, customer service and general banking experience.
  • • Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
