BancFirst in Oklahoma is seeking a Deposit Operations Associate to join our team in Stillwater. This onsite, full-time role supports daily processing of deposits, item review, and customer service activities within a busy banking environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong MS Office skills, familiarity with banking software, and the ability to handle confidential information, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure. Prior banking experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming customer service phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Daily review and processing of unposted items and return items.
  • Review and track overdrawn and charged-off accounts.
  • Process incoming and outgoing domestic and international collection items.
  • Perform account maintenance.
  • Process Branch Deposit reports daily.
  • Will be cross-trained on various positions in the department.
  • Perform other job related duties and special projects as assigned.

Onsite Position

Full Time: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Answer incoming customer service phone calls in a professional manner

Daily review and processing of unposted items and return items.

Review and track overdrawn and charged-off accounts.

Process incoming and outgoing domestic and international collection items.

Perform account maintenance.

Process Branch Deposit reports daily.

Will be cross-trained on various positions in the department.

Perform other job related duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Customer service oriented.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, banking software applications.

Able to perform in a highly sensitive environment, deal with confidential matters and meet deadlines.

Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent organizational skills.

Analytical, detail-oriented with good decision making skills.

Must demonstrate a business professional image and demeanor.

Work well individually and with a team while maintaining a positive attitude.

Work well under stress and deadlines while managing multiple tasks.

Self-starter with the ability to multi-task.

Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of the job

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of banking experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant use of computer screens.

Ability to operate a computer keyboard, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear.

Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching.

Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time during the workday.


Long periods of typing and repetitive motion.


Ability to lift and/or move and carry 10 pounds.
