Job summary

3C Metal in Houston, USA is seeking a Deployment Welder to fabricate piping and structural components in our workshop, offshore, and remote sites. You will perform SMAW and GTAW welding per welding procedures, read drawings, and support fitters on assembly and setup.

You must be able to work across multiple locations, maintain high welding quality, and participate in toolbox talks to ensure safety and alignment with project goals.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of offshore, shipyard, or workshop welding experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of welding parameters and filler metal requirements.

Position overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deployment Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking various Welding techniques for the fabrication of Piping and Structure in our workshop, offshore, and in remote locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capable of welding using a range of Techniques (SMAW and/or GTAW).
• Understanding WPS’s and working to the set parameters.
• Assists fitters in setting up piping/structure according to Engineering Drawings.
• Ensuring high quality welding is conducted on all fabrication work.
• Involved with Daily Morning Toolbox meetings to ensure the day’s activities are clear and addressing any safety concerns/issues/topics.

Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience:

• Experience in Offshore work, Shipyard work or Workshop work.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Industry Experience.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of filler metal requirements
• Working knowledge of setting necessary welding parameters (amps, volts, etc)
• Knowledge of welding equipment
• Understand and apply different welding techniques for Piping and Structure
• Ability to read Engineering drawings
• Adhering to health and safety policies

Personal Attributes:

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized
• Ability to educate and raise awareness among staff
• Fluency in English (additional languages a plus)
