Job summary

Wonder is expanding its Infinite Kitchens footprint and seeking a Robotics Deployment & Applications Engineer to lead hands-on deployments across sites. You will coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution, while building robust deployment processes and documentation.

The role combines field leadership with lab-based testing and product development support.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience leading technical teams on site in high pace environments.
  • Excellent communicator capable of collaborating with internal teams and third parties.
  • Strong track record in on-site deployments and project management tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite deployments of Infinite Kitchens.
  • Serve as primary onsite contact during deployments, coordinating between teams, contractors and vendors.
  • Identify risks and roadblocks and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Build and improve project management and tracking systems for deployments and maintenance.
  • Improve deployment processes and documentation for efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with PMs and maintenance teams on long-term improvements.
  • Work with Hardware/Software Engineers in lab supporting new projects and tests.
  • Create test plans and prototypes with Engineering.
  • Project manage and execute internal tests of new and existing products.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of technicians.

Join a team of technology, culinary, and logistics pioneers, backed by top-tier venture capitalists, and help us make great food more accessible.About The OpportunityAs we expand our footprint of Infinite Kitchens, we are seeking a Robotics Deployment & Applications Engineer to support the deployment of our Infinite Kitchens across the country and development of customer solutions in the lab.This is an ideal role for someone with experience as a hands-on leader of technical teams during the deployment of automation related projects with a background in engineering and/or mechatronics.This is a full time role based in Boston with up to 75% travel to our deployment sites.The Impact You Will Make:Lead the onsite deployments of Infinite Kitchens.Serve as the primary point of contact onsite during deployments, coordinating between internal teams, the general contractor and external vendors.Proactively identify and address potential risks or roadblocks, ensuring smooth project executionBuild and improve our project management and tracking systems for our deployments and maintenanceContinuously improve deployment and maintenance processes and documentation to improve efficiency and qualityCollaborate closely with our project managers and maintenance teams on long term improvement initiativesWork closely with Hardware/Software Engineers in the lab supporting new projects, tests and product development (happens between deployments)Learn internal software tools suggest improvementsBuild prototypes and create test plans in collaboration with Engineering teamProject manage and execute internal tests of new and existing productsLead and mentor a small team of techniciansWho You Are:2+ years of experience leading technical teams on site in high pace deadline driven environments.You thrive in fast-paced environments and are skilled reprioritizing tasks dynamically.An excellent communicator, capable of collaborating closely with internal teams and third parties to ensure successful outcomes. Highly capable of building great relationships with your teams.Fast learner and willing to support tests and product development in the labAdaptable and able to establish a clear path and objectives to often ambiguous requests and environments.Highly adept with project management tools (eg. Jira) and techniquesYou take pride in tracking details meticulously, and creating excellent documentation, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, and continuously optimizing processes.Highly knowledgeable about industrial automation systems and their deployment in commercial environmentsCapable of working under pressure and flexible to travel to the deployment sites to support when neededYou bring a continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to refine processes and achieve better outcomes.Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related fieldThis role requires 5 days a week in the office when not actively on a deployment.Massachusetts: $102,000 - $121,500 per year.#LI-OnsiteWonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.BenefitsThe benefits applicable to this role include a competitive compensation package with equity and a 401(k).
