Job summary

Platform Aerospace seeks a Deployed UAV Systems Engineer to install, maintain, and optimize networks, software, and UAV systems in deployed environments. You will analyze hardware, software, and networking, and collaborate with Systems and Software engineers to ensure robust mission execution.

The role supports both on-site operations and detachments, with training on flying deployed assets as part of onboarding and ongoing development in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of equivalent experience
• 2–5 years of professional experience in system-level software development
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
• Willingness to travel up to 75%
• Proficient in C++, C, and C# with basic Linux knowledge
• Experience with embedded systems and RTOS
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and serve as a POC during deployments.
• Develop software/firmware for payloads and onboard flight computers.
• Maintain and integrate software in existing code bases; re-architect as needed.
• Conduct bench and flight testing during development and releases.
• Assist engineering with analysis, tests, and quality assurance of systems.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network architecture and business solutions.
• Provide monitoring, disaster recovery expertise, and proper work documentation.
