Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Network Administrator (Deployed Support Specialist) to support a defense-focused organization, providing critical network and communications support for deployed military operations worldwide.

The role requires hands-on administration of routers, firewalls, DNS, Active Directory, Exchange, and related infrastructure, along with deployment planning and IA/compliance support. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in network administration and deployed technical support.
• Experience with enterprise networking: routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, AD, and Exchange.
• Strong troubleshooting and deployment coordination in operational environments.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent IAT Level II) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide network technical guidance during deployment planning and troubleshoot issues in operation.
• Install, configure and support routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, AD, Exchange and related infrastructure.
• Support deployed users with hands-on network and systems admin assistance.
• Assist IA training and ensure cybersecurity compliance.
• Coordinate deployment logistics including hardware/software transport and reporting.
