Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Deployed Support Specialist to support Navy mission critical communications with 100% onsite presence in Washington, DC or Norfolk, VA. The role covers advanced network engineering, system configuration, deployment planning support and hands-on troubleshooting for deployed units.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in deployed technical support, Cisco routing/switching experience, and an active Secret clearance with willingness to travel OCONUS.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of deployed technical support or field network operations.
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Must possess Active Secret Clearance; willingness for OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide network technical advice during deployment planning phases.
• Deliver rapid troubleshooting and coordinate solutions during live deployments.
• Support and administer enterprise network components: routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, AD, Exchange.
• Perform system configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for deployed USMC units.
• Assist in developing and delivering IA training for deploying units.
• Support the D-30 deployment readiness process.
• Identify hardware/software needs and coordinate procurement/transport.
• Coordinate foreign country clearance requests and visas for OCONUS travel.
• Document deployment outcomes using government templates and conduct post‑deployment reviews.
• Manage return/restock and accountability of unused equipment.
• Collaborate with regional leads across 14 regions and engage traveling field/base engineers.
