Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Deployed Communications Engineer to support SITEC-3 Enterprise Operations at Camp H.M. Smith, HI. You will perform network and system administration, end-user support, COMSEC management, and mobile device handling to ensure 24x7 operations for USSOCOM.

The role requires a DoD TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience with VTC, secure voice/data, and AV equipment. On-site responsibilities include training, asset management, and incident response across government networks.

Qualifications

• Required qualifications: BS + 8 years experience OR MS + 6 years OR PHD with 3 years OR HS with 12 years OR AA with 10 years; DoD TS/SCI clearance required; 3 years progressive experience in computer systems, system administration, network engineering, and COMSEC operation; DoDD 8570 IAT Level II
• Highly desired qualifications: COMSEC Custodian Course; Compliance with DoW 8140 Work Role Code 451.

Responsibilities

• Planning, scheduling, and executing small- and large-scale equipment upgrades
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and optimizing network performance and/or related network problems
• Installing Operating System firmware, software patches, and upgrades
• Maintaining core datacenter infrastructure; following cabling and organization standards
• Providing Systems Administrator support to systems hosting complex operational databases and interfaces
• Maintaining file servers, network access, and troubleshooting system anomalies
• Performing system backups and recovery
• Scheduling and coordinating VTC room usage
• Supporting AV/VTC requirements for Command events and ceremonies
• Assisting with enterprise mobile device refresh and MDM support
• Supporting COMSEC equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Education
