Job summary

National EMR seeks reservists to assist impacted communities and first responders on an as-needed basis, joining an elite, all-hazards response cadre. Reservists are available to work intermittently, commit to deployments when needed, and travel within 24-48 hours to assignment locations nationwide.

This is NOT a full-time job. Reservists are paid for the actual hours worked, with pay scales based on job classification and mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Current EMT Basic certification in the state of residence.
• Must complete ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, ICS 800; ICS 300/400 upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to the National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual.
• Foster a culture that encourages team safety and reports hazards up the chain of command.
• Maintain active status within agency platforms, including LMS for training.
• Provide medical support or transport services based on mission assignment.
• Provide patient care per certification level and medical protocols.
• Recognize signs of abuse or neglect and document procedures.
• Participate in incident management workforce and disaster initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
