Job summary

General Atomics Systems Integration, an affiliate of General Atomics, seeks a skilled A&P technician to perform maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on powerplants and related systems. You will train junior staff and ensure compliance with government and customer technical orders.

The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to procedures, with potential travel and the need to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five or more years of aircraft mechanical maintenance experience.
• An FAA Airframe and Powerplant License may be required.
• Ability to travel and/or deploy domestically or overseas (CONUS/OCONUS).
• Strong decision-making, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and components.
• Inspect powerplant and related components per procedures and technical orders.
• Repair fuel and/or oil leaks and engine issues as needed.
• Review aircraft records for compliance with procedures and orders.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and train junior specialists when required.
• Maintain safe working environment and comply with regulations.
