This position serves as the Collection Services Bureau’s primary resource for employee engagement and bureau-wide communication. It supports and facilitates activities across the Bureau’s engagement teams and initiatives and coordinates all bureau-wide communications. The position also serves as a liaison for internal administrative dashboards and workspaces.

This position serves as the Collection Services Bureau’s primary resource for employee engagement and bureau-wide communication. It supports and facilitates activities across the Bureau’s engagement teams and initiatives and coordinates all bureau-wide communications. The position also serves as a liaison for internal administrative dashboards and workspaces. The Collection Services Bureau includes over 185 employees and 85 contractors across three Divisions with complex operational areas. This position is the primary resource for all logistical requirements within the Bureau. It determines methods to accomplish assigned projects, influencing Divisions through project implementation needs and outcomes of decisions made. Responsibilities include prioritizing work to meet Bureau needs and deadlines and evaluating and recommending materials and supplies for acquisition. The position performs a variety of duties to assist and advise both the State Administrative Manager and the Director of the Collection Services Bureau.

Required Education And Experience

Education for Departmental Analyst 9-P11 Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.


Experience For Departmental Analyst 9-P11 Please note: A position is considered professional if the job requires a bachelor's degree. Qualifying \"professional experience\" is only considered post bachelor's degree.


Departmental Analyst 9 No specific type or amount is required.


Departmental Analyst 10 One year of professional experience.


Departmental Analyst P11 Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.


Education and Experience for Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee) 9 (FOR CLASSIFIED STATE EMPLOYEES ONLY)


Education Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.


Experience Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification. OR Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification. OR Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification. OR Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification. OR One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.


  • Paraprofessional classifications are those requiring an associate's degree or two years of college.

Educational Substitution College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience.


Alternate Education And Experience


Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee 9) 9 - P11 Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.


Military experience: For those applicants with military service, please provide your DD214 or other official military documentation that may help identify transferable skills and experience that may qualify in lieu of the required education.

Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you currently reside outside of the State of Michigan, you must commute to Michigan to perform the responsibilities and duties of this position at your official work location.


Hybrid Remote Work

This position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and must work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays. To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you are a State of Michigan resident, this position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule. Additionally, the selected candidate must have a secure, safe and appropriate designated workspace that allows privacy and prevents distractions while performing the duties of this position, as well as secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Remote work arrangements are subject to management approval and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time. Please note that remote work is not available if you reside outside of the State of Michigan.


E-Verify
