Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Department Support Assistant for Labor and Delivery. This full-time role covers 32 hours per week, 7:00am-7:30pm, with alternating weekends.

You will provide front desk coverage, greet patients and families, manage department mail, and assist with supplies, work orders, and document assembly. Proficiency in Microsoft apps and strong customer service are required; hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• Good customer service skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Epic experience preferred; hospital experience preferred.

$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

What You Will Do

• Provides front desk coverage which includes answering and directing incoming calls
• Greeting patients and family members and provide assistance as needed
• Collecting and distributing department mail
• Performs related general duties such as monitoring and ordering supplies, submitting work orders, collating and assembling documents

What You Will Need

• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other department related systems
• Highest level of customer service skills
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
• Epic experience preferredMinimum of one year hospital experience preferred
• High School Degree required
• BLS (from American Heart Association) required
