Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Department Supervisor for our Houston, TX location. You will coordinate the activities of Technicians, Welders and Painters in the repair of customer refuse containers, both onsite and offsite, and report progress to management to ensure customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of supervisory experience, strong leadership, and hands-on mechanical skills. You will manage workloads, communicate status to customers, and travel to client sites as needed to

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a supervisor.
• Knowledge of Commercial Trash cans and Roll-offs.
• Experience leading teams.
• Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Able to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic components.
• General mechanical abilities.
• Must have good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work orders to appropriate team members to meet customer commitments.
• Provides leadership and guidance to ensure work performed matches service orders.
• Monitors and evaluates staff performance.
• Clearly communicates goals and expectations; provides timely feedback.
• Interacts with customers to provide status updates and gather information; ensures satisfaction.
• Provides daily status updates to management on progress of work orders.
• Travels by vehicle to customer sites as needed; supports field operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
