Job summary

Big Y Foods, Inc. in Worcester, MA is seeking a Department Manager for the deli to deliver an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality product.

You will supervise all deli functions, drive sales and operations through ordering, production, decision making, and staff engagement. You will ensure compliance with laws and company policies, participate in training and development, maintain food safety certification, and support a culture of caring.

Qualifications

• Must complete and maintain valid food safety certification.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Job description

Location:WORCESTER,MA(100 MAYFIELD STREET)

The Department Manager is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality product. Deli Sales Managers achieve this through supervision of all functions in the deli department including but not limited to; achieving sales/operational results through ordering, production, decision making, customer and employee engagement, employee development, and encouraging an inclusive team atmosphere within the department, store and company. Department Managers are additionally responsible for compliance to all laws and company policies and procedures including labor and safety regulations, asset protection and food safety.

• Must complete and maintain valid food safety certification.
• Must be 18 years of age.
