Job summary

Runnings in Red Wing, MN is hiring a Department Manager of Sporting Goods. You will oversee merchandising, customer service, and department sales, reporting to the Store Manager. This role requires day, night, and weekend/holiday availability and knowledge of sporting goods, including shooting, hunting, fishing, and outdoors.

Pay range is $16.00-$18.00 per hour, experience dependent. You will mentor staff, ensure safety, and collaborate with buyers to meet product needs in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Customer Service training and or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members.
• Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.

Description

Runnings has a unique career opportunity as a Department Manager of Sporting Goods. The Department Manager is responsible for merchandising and sales within his or her assigned department. Department Managers are responsible to provide the highest level of customer service and report to the Store Manager. This position will require ability to work days, nights, and every other weekend and/or holidays. Extensive knowledge of Sporting Goods including shooting, hunting, fishing, and outdoors is preferred.

Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00 Depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma preferred
• Customer Service training and or experience preferred.
