Job summary

Default Brand in Sioux Falls is seeking a Department Manager for our Clothing/Footwear department at the E. 10th Street Location. You will oversee merchandising, sales, and customer service in your assigned department while reporting to the Store Manager.

The role requires availability to work days, evenings, and every other weekend or holidays, with a pay range of $17.00-$19.00 per hour depending on experience. Knowledge of clothing, footwear, and accessories is essential.

Description

We have career opportunity as a Department Manager of our Clothing/Footware department at our Sioux Falls E. 10th Street Location. The Department Manager is responsible for merchandising and sales within his or her assigned department. Department Managers are responsible to provide the highest level of customer service and report to the Store Manager. This position will require ability to work days, evenings, and every other weekend and/or holidays. Extensive knowledge and understanding of clothing, footwear and accessories, etc are needed.

Pay Range: $17.00-$19.00 Depending on Experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members.
• Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work an irregular work schedule

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma preferred
• Customer Service training and or experience preferred.
