Job description

Overall Job Summary: At H&M, we refer to our Assistant Managers as Department Managers. You will be responsible for supporting the store's sales and profit goals by creating a plan to deliver the best customer experience in your department and the overall store. The Department Manager will ensure you have the best team, support their development, and work on succession planning, talent development, and structured performance management based on results, values, and leadership. You will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet customer and colleague expectations.

This position reports to the Store Manager and has direct reports: Department Supervisor, Sales Advisor.

Your Day to Day
  1. Sales and Profit: Analyze and follow up on KPIs, support visual merchandisers, ensure store operations follow standards, plan actions to maximize selling, and support commercial activities, all within the sales budget.
  2. People and Teams: Manage recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and development of your team. Communicate business performance and company culture. Handle safety, legal, and security issues. Carry out supervisory responsibilities according to policies and laws. Maintain store responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager. Promote feedback and coaching.
