Job summary

General Mills seeks a Department Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, reliability and asset care across multiple platforms. The role focuses on safety culture, budget adherence, and collaboration with plant leadership, engineering, and vendors.

You will manage direct reports including Maintenance Asset Care Leaders and Control Technicians, with a 7am–3pm schedule and potential flexibility based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in manufacturing, frontline or technical leadership.
• Experience leading in collaborative environments and driving results.
• Strong understanding of reducing losses and improving performance in manufacturing.
• Technical capability with unit operations and machinery (at least one production platform).
• Foundational knowledge of data analysis systems (examples: SAP, Maximo, Manufacturing Analytics, MQIS).
• Experience in maintenance, reliability, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team and provide direction for reliability and asset care.
• Ensure safety and compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, HAACP and other standards.
• Oversee maintenance metrics and budget; manage planned maintenance and reliability programs.
• Coordinate with plant leadership, engineers, and operations to drive maintenance strategy.
• Mentor Asset Care Leaders, Maintenance Capability Specialists, and others on maintenance planning.
