Job summary

Lonza Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Department Lead – Packaging for 12hr night shifts. You will lead Packaging operations, ensure batch records meet cGMP standards, and coordinate with Manufacturing, QA, and Facilities to stay aligned with FDA requirements.

You will also oversee cleaning of packaging rooms, assign staff, troubleshoot equipment, support continuous improvement, and move materials between packaging and warehouse, driving SQDC goals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, packaging, or GMP-regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements and documentation practices.
• Detail-oriented and organized; able to work on a 12hr night shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead Packaging operations, ensuring batch record execution and documentation meets cGMP standards.
• Support Manufacturing, QA, Warehouse, and Facilities teams to ensure alignment with FDA and company requirements.
• Oversee and coordinate cleaning and sanitization of primary and secondary packaging rooms and equipment.
• Assign and direct staff to production rooms to ensure smooth operations and address packaging-related blocking issues.

• Reconcile and move materials between packaging areas and the warehouse.
• Train Operators and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with SQDC goals.
