Job summary

Wood Shed Lumber & Hardware in Richmond, Missouri, seeks an Apparel & Footwear Lead to own and improve our key department. You will manage inventory, merchandise displays, and guide customers through their purchases.

Apparel & Footwear Lead (Retail Sales & Merchandising)

We’re growing—and looking for someone to take ownership of our apparel and footwear department.

This role is more than retail. It’s an opportunity to build, manage, and improve a key category inside our store. If you’re someone who takes pride in how product looks, sells, and moves—this is for you.

Pay: $17+/hour (based on experience)

What You’ll Own:

• Track inventory levels and manage replenishment orders
• Receive and organize incoming product with accuracy
• Merchandise displays that drive sales and keep the department sharp
• Help customers find the right gear and deliver a strong in-store experience
• Train and support team members on apparel and footwear processes
• Learn other areas of the store, including hardware, to better serve customers
• Step in where needed—sales floor, register, or team support
