Job Responsibilities
The Department Head for Network Systems Management and Cybersecurity provides academic leadership for instructional programs within the Business Technology Division. This position combines teaching, curriculum development, faculty supervision, student advising, and program administration to support student success, workforce readiness, and academic excellence. The Department Head works collaboratively with faculty, staff, industry partners, and community stakeholders to ensure programs remain current, relevant, and aligned with workforce and transfer needs.
This position requires a master's degree or credentials that meet SACSCOC guidelines for teaching in Network Systems Management, Cybersecurity, and/or Information Systems programs, along with three (3) years of progressively responsible related work experience.
Candidates with a bachelor's degree will be considered but must complete a master's degree in the discipline, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline, within three (3) years of hire.
