Job summary

LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, MN is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead our nursing services in a skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and efficient clinical operations.

The DON will supervise nursing staff, collaborate with providers and families, and drive policies that elevate care standards. A MN RN license with 3–5 years of leadership in long-term care is required; BSN preferred; MSN a plus.

Qualifications

• Active MN RN license is required.
• BSN degree is required; MSN or healthcare administration is a plus.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive nursing leadership in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, OBRA guidelines, and state LTC requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with EHR and clinical documentation systems.

You’re an excellent fit, if you have:

• An active MN RN license
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred; master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, OBRA guidelines, and state long-term care requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation systems.
