Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Valid State licensure as an RN.
  • Familiar with local, state & federal regulations for Long-Term Care.
  • Experience supervising nursing staff and others administratively responsible.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
  • Ability to relate professionally and work with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to nursing staff, ensure adherence to standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies to improve quality and safety of patient care.
  • Foster continuous improvement with evidence-based practices and staff development.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing personnel; mentor and coach staff.

Job Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership

    • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to nursing staff to ensure adherence to best practices, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance the quality and safety of patient care.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting evidence-based practices and staff development initiatives.
  • Staff Management

    • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing personnel.
    • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to enhance staff performance and job satisfaction.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and respect among staff members.
  • Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing practices, healthcare delivery, and facility operations.
    • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and participate in surveys, audits, and inspections to maintain accreditation and licensure.
    • Implement corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives as needed to address deficiencies and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI)

    • Develop and oversee QAPI programs to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality and effectiveness of nursing services.
    • Analyze data, trends, and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
    • Lead interdisciplinary teams in root cause analysis, action planning, and performance monitoring to achieve quality goals and objectives.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration

    • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of residents.
    • Facilitate interdisciplinary meetings to discuss resident progress, coordinate care transitions, and address complex medical and psychosocial issues.
    • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments to promote effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Qualifications of the Director of Nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
  • Valid State licensure as an RN
  • Familiar with local, state & federal regulations for Long-Term Care
  • Experience in supervising nursing staff and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information.
  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with residents, families, and other employees at all levels.'
