Institute for Family Health is seeking a Department Coordinator in New York to support the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Mount Sinai. This full-time position reports to the Department Chair and works with the Department Administrator and Inpatient Services Director.
Responsibilities include coordinating rotations, managing office operations, and supporting educational programs and research activities within a health care and nonprofit setting.
The Institute for Family Health is a non-profit organization committed to providing comprehensive primary health services to underserved communities. In addition to operating health centers in the Bronx, Manhattan and upstate New York, the Institute leads and operates the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Mount Sinai Health System. The Department is responsible for teaching and mentoring in family medicine within the medical school, operating a family medicine inpatient service in the hospital, providing professional development and oversight for affiliated family physicians, overseeing the Institute’s three family medicine residency programs, and conducting research.
We are looking for an energetic staff member with good attention to detail to assist in our growing department. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the fields of health and non-profit administration and management. The department coordinator will work with a team of staff, including the Department Chair, the Department Administrator, and the Director of Inpatient Services. This is a full‑time position located at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
