The Department Chair – Patient Care Technician/Nurse Assistant ECG Technician Programs performs the following functions:

• Academic Leadership: Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation for the Patient Care Technician and Nurse Assistant ECG Technician programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and accreditation.
• Faculty Supervision: Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty, fostering a collaborative teaching environment.
• Student Support: Advise and mentor students regarding academic and career pathways.
• Program Management: Manage budgets, resources, and scheduling to ensure smooth departmental operations.
• Community Engagement: Build partnerships with healthcare providers and organizations for program development and student placements.
• Compliance and Accreditation: Maintain accreditation standards and documentation, and facilitate accreditation processes.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• At least four years of clinical experience in roles such as Patient Care Technician, Nurse Assistant, or ECG Technician.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in South Carolina or eligibility for licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s of Science in Nursing (preferred).
