Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Depalletizer operator to monitor QA and the depalletizing unit on the production line in Texas. You will configure the depalletizer, perform QA checks, collect pallet data, and maintain inventory accuracy in SAP while ensuring safety and GMP compliance.

The role requires forklift eligibility within 30 days, pre-employment screening, and ability to work 2pm–10pm, Monday–Friday with potential Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Forklift operator license required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written or diagrammatic instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and maintain inventory accuracy in SAP.

Responsibilities

• Configures Depalletizer for daily production.
• Performs QA inspections on each pallet before placing onto the line.
• Reports QA issues to Supervisor as they occur.
• Collects data relating to each pallet of jars entering the line.
• Operates Scantrack EBI glass inspection tests and maintains control of test jars.
• Reports mechanical problems and completes work orders as needed.
• Maintains safety by cleaning breaks and sanitizing areas.
• Uses scanners or thin clients to perform SAP transactions for inventory traceability.

Description

General Purpose:

Monitors the quality assurance of glass jars loaded onto the production line and oversees the computer and mechanical functions of the Depalletizing unit.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Configures Depalletizer for daily production.
• Performs quality assurance inspections on each pallet before placing onto the line to ensure that problem glass does not enter the line.
• Reports quality assurance issues to Supervisor as they occur.
• Collects data relating to each pallet of jars that enter onto the line.
• Performs Scantrack EBI glass inspection tests and maintains control of all test jars.
• Reports any mechanical problems and completes work orders when necessary.
• Cleans all glass breaks in the immediate work area as they occur.
• Inspects EBI reject jars and collects data.
• Sanitizes glass conveyor/rinser areas.
• Utilize scanners or thin client units to make SAP transaction for the purpose of maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring reliable product traceability.
• Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc.
• Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Follows all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Performs items on Master Sanitation lists when production is not running.
• Maintain safe environment and perform other duties in a safe manner at all times.
• Assists in training new operator.
• Ability to function in a team based structure and positively contributes to team based efforts.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Shift Hours - 2pm - 10pm - Monday - Friday ===Some Saturdays may be required based on product demand
• Starting Rate - $18.50 /.50/hour Shift Differential with Start Times after 2pm
• Rate Increase to $22.67 After 90 Day
• 40 Hours Vacation After (1) Year of Service

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to attain Forklift Operator License within 30 days of hiring.

Pay Range

$18.50 to start, Increase after 90 days
