Job summary

Colorado Christian University is seeking University Supervisors to oversee, mentor, and evaluate teacher candidates in the Denver metro area. This part-time, in-person role conducts observations, feedback, and performance evaluations aligned with state standards.

Supervisors work with the School of Education Clinical Practice Coordinator and report to the Dean. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s or doctorate in education, leadership experience, and strong interpersonal skills, with a passion

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, administration or doctorate in education field.
• Experience in Math or Special Education at the Secondary level.
• Current Colorado Teaching/Professional Educator License preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience supervising or critiquing others.
• Previous leadership experience in a school setting.
• Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using computers and educational software.
• Passion for higher education and excellence in teacher preparation.

Responsibilities

• Observe and evaluate teacher candidates' performance in clinical practice experiences according to state standards.
• Mentor teacher candidates and provide constructive feedback.
• Conference with school-based teacher and candidate at initial and final assessments.
• Confer after each observed lesson and prepare written summaries.
• Read and respond to written reflections of students weekly.
• Communicate with students promptly via the eCollege email system.
• Maintain communication among school, university and student to support candidate success.
• Collaborate with the assigned school-based teacher to evaluate performance.
