Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for part-time University Supervisors of Student Teachers and Residents in the School of Education. Responsibilities include observing and coaching candidates, conducting site visits, and coordinating seminars within a 16‑week placement.

This affiliate faculty role requires a master’s degree and teaching experience. Positions are non-tenure track and dependent on enrollment and budget, with salary per credit hour and per‑credit‑hour

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• Teaching experience in public or private school settings.
• Supervisory/coaching experience or mentoring background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe, coach, and evaluate teacher candidates during student teaching or residency placements.
• Conduct 3–4 site visits over the 16‑week placement for observation, coaching, and assessment; complete mid and final evaluations.
• Lead and participate in 5 hours of regularly scheduled student teaching seminars with faculty or other supervisors.
• Guide and evaluate students’ work on the Collection of Teaching Artifacts and Reflections final project.
• Maintain communication with the Office of Clinical Experiences and Partnerships (OCEP) throughout the semester.
• Attend professional development and training sessions for University Supervisors.
