Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking candidates to assist in the installation of gas mains, sewer lines, water lines and telephone cable. The role involves digging, back-filling, grading, and operating equipment across the state, with frequent travel.

A high school diploma and valid license are required, plus DOT physical or ability to obtain one; CDL is preferred. You will work in a team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, commitment, and reputation, with comprehensive benefits and training

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Current DOT physical or ability to obtain one.
  • Professional or personal use of hand tools.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with the public, customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • 1+ year experience in construction, farming, manual labor and/or outdoor work.

Responsibilities

  • Digging, filling, back-filling, grading or other excavation work including trenches, pits or tunnels.
  • Installation and maintenance of underground cable and conduit as well as overhead cable.
  • Repair, remove or replace damaged landscaping.
  • Travel frequently within the state for work assignments.

We are searching for qualified candidates to assist in of installation of gas mains, sewer lines, water lines and telephone cable.

Main Responsibilities
  • Digging, filling, back-filling, grading or other excavation work including trenches, pits or tunnels
  • Non-technical support of installation of gas mains, sewer lines, water lines and telephone cable
  • Installation and maintenance of underground cable and conduit as well as overhead cable
  • Repair, remove or replace damaged landscaping
  • Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
  • Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
  • Operate vehicles used for hauling.
  • Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
  • Travel frequently within the state for work assignments.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current driver’s license with good driving record
  • Current DOT physical or ability to obtain one
  • Professional or personal use of hand tools
  • Interact effectively and professionally with the public, customers, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • 1+ year experience in construction, farming, manual labor and/or outdoor work
