Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking hardworking Laborers to support gas distribution pipeline crews. Responsibilities include assisting in repair, maintenance, construction, installation and fusion of plastic pipe, and reconditioning of gas distribution pipelines.

The role requires lifting, digging, and driving tasks in field conditions. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of outdoor work, and a clean driving record with DOT physical requirement or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience can substitute education.
• Minimum 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team.
• Clean driving record; DOT physical required or obtainable.
• Must pass computer-based testing related to local operator qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.

• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year gas construction experience.
• Class A CDL.
