Job summary

Miller Pipeline, LLC in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking Laborers to join our gas distribution crews. This role involves assisting in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and reconditioning of plastic gas pipelines, with work conducted outdoors in varying weather conditions.

You will be part of a team and must demonstrate reliability, safety awareness and a strong work ethic while performing hands-on tasks and operating light vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.
• Must pass local operator qualifications testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repair, maintenance, construction, installation and reconditioning of plastic gas distribution pipelines.
• Lift and move tools and equipment; operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Shovel, compact soil, and assist in asphalt work as needed.
• Travel frequently within the assigned area for work.
• Maintain safety practices and work well with a team.

Miller Pipeline is looking to add hardworking Laborers to work on our gas distribution pipeline crews. Duties include assisting in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe, and in the reconditioning of gas distribution pipelines.

Main Responsibilities:

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.


• Compress soil and asphalt.


• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.


• Operate vehicles used for hauling.


• Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.


• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.


• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.


• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.


• Valid Driver's License.


• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.


• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.


• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).


• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year gas construction experience.


• Class A CDL.
