Job summary

Ciena Corporation seeks a Technical Sales Lead to empower Blue Planet sales with deep technical guidance across OSS/telecom domains. You’ll articulate product value to business and technical users and guide customers through evaluations.

Based in Denver, you will lead PoCs, respond to RFIs/RFPs with the Solution Architect, help price solutions, and craft SOWs, while building lasting customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. Occasional travel required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in a senior pre-sales or project delivery role within the OSS platform industry.
• Extensive telecom networking experience including WAN/LAN, switching & routing, and 5G.
• Experience with OSS platforms such as Network Orchestration, Service Assurance or Inventory systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication, and ability to scope and execute customer evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Present the product at a high level to customer prospects.
• Conduct product demonstrations at meetings and events.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs/RFPs with the Solution Architect.
• Manage the product evaluation process and PoC criteria documentation.
• Support pricing using the standard product price book.
• Lead creation of Services Estimation and SOW materials.
• Serve as the customer technical product resource for questions and escalations.
