Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a national Discipline Lead - Pumping Systems to support growth of our water practice in Denver with a national focus on pumping systems and hydraulics. The role combines technical leadership with market development and mentoring of staff.

You will establish design standards, engage with clients, and lead project delivery across local to national teams, collaborating with water practice leadership to drive growth and excellence.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering; MS preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer license in CO, FL, NY, TX, VA, CA; multi-state licensure preferred.
• 20+ years of experience in public sector water/wastewater projects.
• At least 10 years of project management experience.
• Subject matter expertise in pumping systems and hydraulics.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget on projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication with client focus and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and strategic direction for pumping systems projects and design teams.
• Establish and refine pumping system design standards and guidelines.
• Engage with clients to maintain high levels of service and support.
• Engage with pursuit teams to support client positioning and marketing.
• Recruit and build teams to deliver and grow backlog.
• Collaborate with the water team to enhance growth and visibility.
• Coordinate with national resources for client service and project delivery.
• Lead engagement with Hydraulic Institute for technical excellence.
