Job summary

1898 & Co., part of Burns & McDonnell, seeks a Project Delivery Manager to lead the Mountain Region energy advisory team in Denver, guiding consulting engagements across power, renewables, and utility finance. You will build a high-performing staff, oversee project delivery, QA/QC, and collaborate with managing directors to drive business development and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, business, or related field with 5 years of experience.
• Prior leadership or management experience is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to present complex info to all levels.
• Ability to influence, lead, and manage change effectively.
• Solid project management skills and strategic perspective.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the Energy Advisory team across multiple groups.
• Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide development feedback.
• Model Burns & McDonnell culture while aligning with 1898 & Co.’s traits.
• Interpret and communicate organizational goals to staff.
• Lead delivery of consulting engagements in energy advisory domains.
• Offer technical and commercial guidance for projects in power and finance.
• Manage staff allocation, workload, and utilization for profitability.
• Oversee QA/QC to ensure high-quality client deliverables.
• Collaborate with PMs to manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Promote best practices in delivery, quality, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
