R Systems International is seeking a Manager of AI Engineering in Denver to lead production AI/ML delivery and people leadership. The role emphasizes hands-on AI/ML work and moving solutions to scale, not just research.

You will drive technical vision, build high-performing teams, and ensure AI systems move reliably to production at scale. The position requires 8+ years of management and ML/NLP experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AI/ML leadership with delivery experience.
• Proven ability to lead production AI/ML systems from concept to production.
• Experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of AI engineers delivering production AI/ML systems (LLM, RAG, ML/NLP).
• Define and drive technical vision from architecture to tooling and coding standards.
• Own end-to-end delivery of AI/ML models into production, including scoping, design, build, deployment, monitoring.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders to align AI work with priorities.
• Mentor engineers through reviews, knowledge sharing, and career development discussions.
• Establish engineering best practices: CI/CD, MLOps, model monitoring, responsible AI, and documentation.
• Evaluate new LLM frameworks and architectures and advise adoption.
• Communicate progress, risks, and blockers to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
