Job Summary

Denver Health Medical Center is seeking a PRN/Intermittent Dentist for our Westside Dental Clinic. Under minimal supervision, diagnose, prevent, and treat dental issues, including decay, cavities, x-rays, sealants, teeth straightening, and fracture repair. Perform gum surgery, extract teeth, and create models for dentures. Educate patients on oral health and administer anesthetics and prescriptions.

Essential Functions:

1. Dental Services: Provide restorative dentistry, extractions, examinations, diagnostics, and treatments for dental diseases and abnormalities. (30%)
2. Treatment Planning: Develop and maintain treatment plans and charts. (20%)
3. Medication Management: Administer anesthetics and prescribe medications. (15%)
4. Patient Education: Educate patients on preventative care and oral hygiene. (10%)
5. Prosthetics: Authorize manufacture of dental prosthetics. (10%)
6. Supervision: Manage dental staff as appropriate. (10%)
7. Referrals: Coordinate with other healthcare professionals. (5%)

Education: Doctorate Degree Required

Work Experience: 1-3 years post-training experience required

Licenses: DDS/DMD, BLS, DEA registration (or pending)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of dental principles, infection control, diagnostic skills, effective communication, record keeping, and computer skills. Ability to exercise judgment, maintain professionalism, and build effective relationships.

Shift: PRN/Intermittent

Salary: $78.89 - $100.19/hr
