The Durham Health Care System is currently looking to hire one part-time General Staff Dentist who will perform a full range of professional dental procedures related to the treatment of dental diseases and health problems, including corrective, restorative, and preventive measures.

Job Responsibilities

The General Practice Staff Dentist will:

• Make oral and radiographic examinations
• Diagnose oral conditions
• Administer local anesthesia
• Perform restorations and extractions
• Conduct alveoloplasty and surgical procedures
• Perform prosthetic dentistry (dentures, crowns, bridges)
• Perform endodontic and periodontal procedures

Work Schedule and Conditions

Part-time, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 7:00am to 5:30pm. No telework available. This is a non-virtual position. No relocation incentives or PCS authorized.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizens; non-citizens may be considered if no qualified citizens are available
• Proficiency in English
• Background/security investigation required
• Pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Participation in influenza vaccination program

Qualifications

Must have a DDS or DMD from an accredited school, completion of a residency or equivalent experience, and a valid unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the U.S.
