The Indian Health Service in Belcourt, North Dakota invites a licensed dentist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive, patient-centered oral health care to American Indian communities.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of dental conditions, coordinate with medical providers, educate patients on prevention, and contribute to quality improvement and community health initiatives.

Formación

• DDS or DMD degree from accredited school.
• Current license to practice dentistry in the United States.
• Experience in patient education and preventive care.

Responsabilidades

• Provides comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and emergency dental services.
• Independently evaluates and manages complex dental conditions, adapting treatment approaches and coordinating care with medical providers for medically complex or behaviorally diverse patients.
• Delivers patient education and preventive care, ensuring patients understand treatment options, risks, and post-treatment care while addressing diverse cultural and socioeconomic needs.
• Provides consultation and guidance to healthcare providers and dental staff regarding dental health issues and their impact on overall patient health.
• Maintains clinical records, participates in quality improvement and infection control activities, supports program operations, and contributes to committees and strategic planning.
