Job summary

The Indian Health Service in the United States seeks a Dentist to provide comprehensive, patient-centered dental care, manage complex cases, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance oral health equity. You will conduct examinations, treatment planning, restorative services, surgeries and preventive care while addressing diverse cultural and socioeconomic needs.

This federal role requires licensure, credentials, and adherence to safety and program requirements.

Qualifications

DDS/DMD degree or equivalent.
Active dental license to practice in the United States.
Experience managing complex dental cases and coordinating with medical providers.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive dental care including exams, diagnosis, treatment planning and restorative procedures.
Perform endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery and emergency dental services as needed.
Educate patients on treatment options, risks, and post-treatment care while addressing diverse cultural needs.
Consult with other healthcare providers and dental staff on dental health issues and overall patient health.
Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in quality improvement and infection control activities.
