Job summary

Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. (CHCB) seeks a dedicated Dentist to provide high-quality, patient‑centered care in a community setting.

You will diagnose and treat patients, perform fillings, extractions, root canals, and educate patients on proper dental care in a Federally Qualified Health Center. Requirements include a Dental Medicine degree, NY license, DEA registration, BLS/CPR, and at least 1 year of staff dentistry experience.

Qualifications

  • DDS/DMD degree from an accredited university.
  • Active New York State dental license to practice.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a staff Dentist.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver general dentistry, including diagnostic, preventive and restorative services.
  • Refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers when needed.
  • Maintain thorough patient care records (medications, allergies, assessments, treatment plans).
  • Oversee dental care quality standards via QA and peer reviews.
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans and expected outcomes.
  • Address patient inquiries promptly and communicate respectfully with patients and colleagues.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and perform related duties.

Job Summary

The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dentist to join our established and growing team. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we are committed to providing comprehensive, affordable, and accessible healthcare to all, regardless of their ability to pay. The Dentist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with various dental issues, performing dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals, and educating patients on proper dental care.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a Dental Medicine degree from an accredited University
  • Current and unrestricted New York State dental license to practice
  • At least one (1) year of experience working as a staff Dentist
  • Current DEA registration
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of dental procedures and protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in electronic health records systems a plus
Responsibilities

Salary Range: $154,000 - $164,000, depending on experience.
