Dentist

Compensation: $180K-$220K per year

Job Type: Monday–Friday, 3-4 10 hour shifts per week.

A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in upstate New York is seeking a General Dentist to join our dedicated team in Auburn, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, mission-driven dental professional who values quality care, work-life balance, and community impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay current with advancements and best practices in dentistry.
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat oral and dental conditions for patients of all ages.
  • Provide preventative dental services and patient education.
  • Perform comprehensive dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
  • Deliver pediatric dental care, including extractions, restorations, stainless steel crowns, and pulpotomy/pulpectomy procedures.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and ongoing dental health.
  • Manage dental emergencies such as acute hemorrhage, anaphylaxis, respiratory or cardiac arrest, and seizures.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Refer patients to dental or medical specialists as appropriate and consult on complex cases when needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes.
  • Attend staff development trainings and maintain continuing education requirements.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all patient interactions.
