Job summary

The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. seeks a compassionate Dentist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting.

This per-diem role offers up to 19 hours per week with flexibility to accommodate clinic needs while making a meaningful impact in the Buffalo community. Responsibilities include general dentistry, diagnostic and preventive services, maintaining patient records, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Dental Medicine degree from an accredited University.
  • Current and unrestricted New York State dental license to practice.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working as a staff Dentist.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of dental procedures and protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver general dentistry, diagnostic, preventive, and restorative services to patients.
  • Refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers for additional evaluation or support when necessary.
  • Maintain thorough patient care records, including medications, allergies, data, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Oversee dental care quality standards through Quality Assurance and Peer Review Audits.
  • Educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment plans, and expected outcomes.
  • Address patient inquiries promptly and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues in a respectful manner.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and carry out other relevant duties as needed.

Compensation

$76.92/hr.

Schedule & Work Hours

Per-diem (up to 19 hours per week)
