Job summary

Santa Maria Pediatric Dental Group is seeking a Dental Treatment Coordinator to educate patients and parents about proposed treatments, collect co-pays, and manage patient files using our dental software to upload treatment plans and financial agreements.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a dental office, strong communication and customer service skills, and experience with dental practice management software. This is a full-time, weekday position with standard hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year in a dental office.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with dental practice management software.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and insurance billing codes.
• Team player attitude.
• Ability to work full-time Monday–Friday, typically from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and parents about treatment plans.
• Calculate and collect treatment co-payments.
• Manage patient files and upload treatment plans, financial agreements, and protocols into electronic records.
• Demonstrate understanding of insurance benefits and financial agreements.
• Prepare, present, and explain treatment plans.
• Schedule patients based on treatment plans.
• Collect patient co-payments.
• Answer phones.
• Complete pre-authorizations and referrals as needed.
