Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics in Texas is seeking a front office team member to manage patient flow, verify insurance, schedule procedures, and support multiple specialty offices.

You will educate patients, convert planned treatments into scheduled visits across Pedodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics and Oral Surgery, and communicate with referring offices. Strong Spanish language skills are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of dental front office experience required.
• Knowledge of dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & CHIP.
• Open Dental/Dentrix experience is helpful; bilingual Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on needed treatments.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled multi-specialty care.
• Communicate treatment details to referring offices by letters and emails.
• Handle incoming calls/faxes for changes of provider.
• Prepare and send pre-authorizations.
• Explain procedures clearly and discuss payment options.

• QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1-3 years of previous dental front office experience is required.
• Must have knowledge of all dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.
• Ability to call in / Fax COP (change of provider)
• Send Pre-Authorizations
• Must utilize excellent communication skills with an ability to explain, present, and educate dental procedures and treatment plans to patients plainly. (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants)
• Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.
• Ability to audit chart notes and create claims
• Ability to run end of day reports
• Assist with open and close of the office
• Daily housekeeping (will be shared with other staff)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
