Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a front office team member in Denver, CO, to support multi-specialty dental services. You will educate patients, schedule treatments, and coordinate with referring offices, while handling payments and insurance tasks.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years in dental front office, understands PPOs/insurance, and is fluent in Spanish. Dental software experience with Open Dental or Dentrix is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of dental front office experience required.
• Knowledge of dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip.
• Experience with dental practice management software is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on treatment type and extent.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled treatment across specialties.
• Communicate treatment plans and updates with referring offices via letters/emails.
• Assist with authorization processes (COP) and pre-authorizations.
• Explain procedures to patients and present treatment plans clearly.
• Process payments (Cash, Credit, Care Credit).
• Audit chart notes and create insurance claims.
• Run end-of-day reports and assist with opening/closing the office.
• Support daily housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
• Ensure patient payments are collected at the time of service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years of previous dental front office experience is required.
• Must have knowledge of all dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.
• Ability to call in / Fax COP (change of provider)
• Send Pre-Authorizations
• Must utilize excellent communication skills with an ability to explain, present, and educate dental procedures and treatment plans to patients plainly. (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants)
• Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit
• Ability to audit chart notes and create claims
• Ability to run end of day reports
• Assist with open and close of the office
• Daily housekeeping (will be shared with other staff)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.
