Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a friendly and organized dental front office team member for multiple locations. You will educate patients on treatments, convert planned care to scheduled treatment across specialties, and communicate with referring offices.

Strong phone and data-entry skills, and knowledge of dental insurance processing are essential. Bilingual Spanish is preferred and competitive pay is offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of dental front office experience.
• Knowledge of PPOs, Medi & Chip insurance.
• Dental practice management software experience helpful.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on treatment types and needs.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled treatment across specialties.
• Communicate treatment plans with referring offices via letters and emails.
• Process payments via Cash, Credit & Care Credit.
• Audit chart notes and prepare claims.
• Open and close the office; daily housekeeping duties.
• Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years of previous dental front office experience is required.
• Must have knowledge of all dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.
• Ability to call in / Fax COP (change of provider)
• Send Pre-Authorizations
• Must utilize excellent communication skills with an ability to explain, present, and educate dental procedures and treatment plans to patients plainly. (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants)
• Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit
• Ability to audit chart notes and create claims
• Ability to run end of day reports
• Assist with open and close of the office
• Daily housekeeping (will be shared with other staff)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.
