Job summary

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is seeking an experienced Director of Dental to provide leadership and operational oversight for the Dental Department. Following a significant expansion, we seek a collaborative leader who unites people, processes, patient access, quality, and performance to build a strong department.

In this role, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of the Dental Department while shaping its long-term direction, improving access to care, developing staff, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience leading dental teams and day-to-day operations of a dental department.
• Experience with ED R systems and dental regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative, operational, and clinical leadership for the Dental Department, including oversight of daily dental operations, staff performance, patient access, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Collaborates with medical departments and organizational leadership to support integrated medical-dental care, interdisciplinary coordination, and continuity of patient services.
• Ensures appropriate staffing levels, efficient scheduling, and maximized clinic capacity to support timely patient access, productivity, and high-quality dental care services.
• Oversees onboarding, orientation, training, competency assessments, staff development, and ongoing performance support for dental department personnel.
• Facilitates and ensures completion of peer reviews, competency assessments, departmental meetings, operational updates, and communication of organizational initiatives and clinic activities.
