Job summary

MedVet, a nationwide emergency and specialty provider, seeks a Dentistry Registered Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced team in Indiana. The role involves dental prophylaxis, surgical support, radiography, anesthesia, and client education, with opportunities to collaborate across departments.

Ideal candidates hold a State RVT license, bring veterinary experience (emergency preferred), and excel in calculations and clear communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must have State Registered Veterinary Technician license.
• Emergency experience is a plus.
• Strong math and drug calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform prophylactic dental cleanings and periodontal treatments.
• Assist in dental, soft tissue, and orthopedic procedures.
• Record rounds, discuss cases, and gather information as needed.
• Acquire and present dental and standard radiographs.
• Calculate and administer anesthetic medications.
• Prioritize patients based on assessment.
• Collaborate with care team on treatment plans and client communication.
• Provide client education on home care and medications.
• Assist DVM with patient assessment and procedures.
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Conduct in-house and prepare samples for outside lab testing.
