Job summary

Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a PH Dental Receptionist to support the Habersham County and Stephens County Dental Clinics. The role involves managing appointment schedules, verifying insurance, and updating patient information across District 2 Public Health operations in northeast Georgia.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED with two years of general office experience. Travel between Habersham and Stephens County clinics is required; bilingual English/Spanish is

Qualifications

  • One year experience as receptionist or front office in a Dental or Medical Office setting
  • Experience working with computers
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the appointment schedule at the direction of the Dentist
  • Verifying Insurance
  • Updating patient information
  • Enter treatments into VHN system
  • Greet patients and answer questions regarding the Dental Program
  • Coordinate Head Start clinics with Family Partner
  • Coordinate dental appointments and referrals for the Ryan White Program
  • Create new patient records
  • Prepares and forwards monthly statistical reports

Job Description

As an PH Dental Receptionist within the Habersham & Stephens County Dental Clinics within the Health Departments within the District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. One of the fastest growing regions in the state, District 2 includes rural and urban communities with diverse public health challenges.
